The fascinating thing about Birding is that you can visit an area a thousand times and it will always be different. The landscape is shaped by the variety of birds that inhabit it, and they are constantly on the move. One of our favourite times to visit the Salinas de Santa Pola is undoubtedly in spring, when the noise of terns, herring gulls and little terns... invades everything. The beach and the shallow saline waters come together through one of the best preserved dune ecosystems on the Levantine coast. From the sea, observing the numerous waders or from the fauna observatories, we can enjoy a full day of birding on this beautiful ornithological route. Whether it's winter, autumn, spring or summer, if your thing is seabirds or waders, this is a natural space you can't miss!

Embark on an exciting ornithological adventure in the wetlands of the Salinas de Santa Pola and the dunes of La Marina-Guardamar and discover the amazing variety of birds that inhabit these unique natural environments, all while enjoying a snack or picnic in the middle of nature!

Our day will begin at the meeting point, where we will meet our experienced ornithological guide, who will accompany us throughout the tour and introduce us to the fascinating world of the birds that inhabit the area.

On this day we will explore the impressive Salinas de Santa Pola, a sanctuary for migratory and resident birds that seek food and shelter in its salty waters and marshes. With the help of our guide, we will observe birds such as flamingos, avocets, plovers and many more, while learning about their unique habits and behaviours.

We will also enter the spectacular dunes of La Marina-Guardamar, a protected ecosystem where wildlife flourishes amidst stunning coastal scenery. Here, we will have the opportunity to spot coastal birds such as terns, sandpipers and gulls, as we explore the nature trails that wind through the dunes.

And to recharge your batteries, we will stop at a privileged spot to enjoy a delicious snack or picnic, surrounded by the serenity and beauty of nature. Savour a selection of local products while you relax and share anecdotes with your fellow travellers.

At the end of the route, we will return to the starting point full of unforgettable memories and the satisfaction of having explored two of the most impressive natural environments on the Costa Blanca.
